Residential Mortgage Announces New Chief Operating Officer

Residential Mortgage is proud to announce the hiring of a new Chief Operating Officer. Mike Baldwin joins Residential Mortgage with 35 years of experience in the mortgage industry, 32 years as an Executive in management.

Baldwin comes to Residential Mortgage from the Pacific Northwest where he led four successful mortgage companies from startup. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. Baldwin was recognized as one of the “40 Under 40” young business leaders by the Portland Business Journal.

“We are excited to welcome Mike to Residential Mortgage and look forward to his leadership and expertise in the mortgage lending arena,” noted Steve Aldrich, Residential Mortgage CEO. “Residential Mortgage has continued to grow in the past few years and Mike’s presence on the leadership team will bring a new perspective to our business throughout the state.”

Northrim Receives Affordable Housing, SBA Honors

Northrim Bank is proud to announce two recent recognitions. Northrim Bank was presented with the Charles L. Edson Tax Credit Excellence Award by the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition. This annual award recognizes outstanding affordable housing developments and organizations that have demonstrated especially impactful use of the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit and was given to the organizations for their involvement in the Coronado Park II/Qintali View project. Participants included Cook Inlet Housing Authority, R4 Capital, Northrim Bank, The Rasmuson Foundation, and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines. Award recipients were recognized at an awards ceremony in Washington, DC, with members of Congress representing winning properties invited to present the awards.

American Families Plan IRS Reporting Proposal

As part of the American Families Plan, Congress is considering requiring financial institutions to report detailed information on certain customer accounts to the IRS. At this time, this is just a proposal that has not yet been fully defined and is not included in current legislation. Local financial institutions are monitoring the proposal.

Regular hours and service resume for Wasilla Financial Center

Regular lobby and drive-up service has resumed at our Wasilla Financial Center. Lobby service is available 10 am - 5 pm Monday through Friday. Drive-up service is available 9 am - 6 pm Monday through Friday and 10 am - 2 pm Saturday.
