Northrim Bank Promotes Two to Assistant Vice President

Northrim Bank President and CEO Marc Langland announced that Ken Denny and Jay Blury have been promoted to assistant vice president.

Denny is AVP, security manager and is responsible for investigation of fraud and theft as well as the physical security of Northrim Bank’s branches and facilities. He has more than 21 years of security and law enforcement experience and has been at Northrim for two years. Denny received a B.S. Degree in Justice Administration from Thomas Edison State College in Trenton, NJ and a B.S. degree in Natural Resources Management from Sheldon Jackson College in Sitka, AK. Denny is a Sergeant First Class serving in the 490th  Military Police Company in the Alaska National Guard. He is a volunteer hunter safety and archery instructor for Alaska Department of Fish and Game. He is also a member of the Alaska Peace Officers Association and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Blury is AVP, marketing officer and is responsible for market research, advertising, promotional materials and managing the bank’s marketing database. He has seven years of sales and marketing experience and has been at Northrim for three years. He holds a B.A. degree in Journalism and Public Communications from the University of Alaska, Anchorage. Blury serves on the United Way Day of Caring Steering Committee and the United Way Engagement Advisory Council. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Alaska Chapter of the American Marketing Association. In addition, he is a mentor in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
