Northrim Bank announces new hires and promotions

Northrim Bank is proud to announce the promotion of two officers and welcomes three new employees. Northrim Chairman and CEO Joe Schierhorn is pleased to announce the following updates: 

  • Stefan Saldanha - SVP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
  • Dana Cherry - VP, Lending Branch Manager, Ketchikan Financial Center
  • Deborah Bolton - AVP, Branch Manager, Eastside Community Branch
  • Samrie Canales - Assistant Branch Manager, Float Pool
  • Nikki Tandy - Assistant Branch Manager, Midtown Financial Center

Saldanha joined Northrim in July and has 26 years of legal and financial experience. Most recently, he served as a Senior Assistant Attorney General at the Department of Law in Anchorage, where he provided legal advice to state-owned public corporations. He also worked for Russell Investments, where he worked in legal and compliance roles. Saldanha holds a JD/MBA from Georgetown University, and is admitted to practice law in Alaska. He is a member of the board of directors for the Alaska World Affairs Council.

Cherry started at Northrim Bank this summer and has 18 years of lending experience in Alaska, Montana and Oregon. She graduated Suma Cum Laude from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science in Education.

Bolton has been with Northrim since 2009 and has 19 years of experience in the financial industry. She holds an Associates of Science Degree from Weber State University. Bolton volunteers with Junior Achievement of Alaska and McKinnell house teaching financial literacy.

Canales started at Northrim in 2021 and has over 10 years of customer service and management experience.

Tandy joined Northrim in 2014 and has worked with the float pool and at the Wasilla Financial Center before transferring to the Midtown Financial Center in Anchorage. She volunteers with Junior Achievement of Alaska, teaches financial literacy in Anchorage and the Mat-Su and volunteers with Food4Kids.
