Northrim Bank is proud to announce the promotion of three officers and welcomes four new employees. Northrim Chairman and CEO Joe Schierhorn is pleased to announce the following updates:

  • Joe Gelione - SVP, Commercial Lending Manager
  • Bill Bailey - VP, Business Development Officer
  • Marc Tucker - VP, Systems and Network Manager
  • Jessica Freauff - Assistant Branch Manager, Eastside Community Branch
  • Nicole Johnson -Assistant Branch Manager, Fairbanks West Community Branch
  • Peng Thao - Assistant Branch Manager, Seventh Avenue Branch

Deal comes to Northrim with 35 years of experience in the banking industry where he has lived and worked in Petersburg, Ketchikan, Eagle River, Sitka, Kodiak and Anchorage. He attended the University of Alaska Anchorage and graduated with honors from Pacific Coast Banking School. Deal is currently a member of the board of directors for United Way of Anchorage, Foraker Group, Alaska Children’s Trust and is the incoming president of the Alaska Bankers Association.

Gelione began his career at Northrim in 2017 and has over 30 years of experience in the financial industry. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration Finance from Stockton University. Gelione is a past board member of the Alliance, Petroleum Club and Rotary. He received the Northrim Bank President’s Award in 2018.

Bailey joined Northrim in October after working more recently in the oil and gas sector for the past nine years. A life-long Alaskan, he holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Bailey is a member of the Alaska Airlines Advisory Board and the Alaska Command Civilian Advisory Board, 11th Air Force. He has extensive volunteer engagement throughout his career, including work with United Way, the University of Alaska Fairbanks and the Rasmuson Foundation.

Tucker joined Northrim in May and has 20 years of experience in IT with the United States Air Force. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in IT Management from Trident University International. Tucker volunteers with youth athletics and veteran communities.

Freauff started at Northrim in August and has nine years of experience in the financial industry in Alaska and Oregon. She has held positions in Retail Banking, Operations, Client Experience and Audit. Freauff volunteers with various pet rescue organizations.

Johnson joined Northrim in 2016 and has over 13 years of experience in customer service positions. She volunteers with Junior Achievement of Alaska, Money Camp at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Summer Sessions, Denali Elementary and Weller Elementary Schools.

Thao has been with Northrim for four years and has over 10 years of experience in customer service and sales. He holds an Alaska Insurance License. A long-time Alaskan, Thao has volunteered at McKinnell House throughout his time at Northrim Bank.
